John Tubbs
Owner and Founder of Albany Massage Professionals, John brings his passion for helping people achieve their fullest potential in all areas of their life. John has extensive experience in managing and treating many different traumas, injuries and diseases through the many personal challenges he has overcome. After a football injury that nearly left him partially paralyzed, he discovered the power of massage therapy and the many benefits for healing. That experience (among others) lit the fire for John to educate and inspire others who were struggling with their own health challenges.
In addition to overcoming chronic Neurological Lyme disease and Ulcerative Colitis/ Crohn’s Disease (autoimmune) through natural and holistic means, he continues to grow his knowledge and skill set in the field of holistic health and wellness so he can be of greater support to his clientele and the many other communities he serves.
After 20 plus years in massage practice, John also has a wide range of experience in the health and wellness field. His experiences as a former personal trainer, prepared him for future endeavors as a licensed massage therapist and massage therapy instructor at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy(Albany, NY).
With his background as an Educator/Consultant with Young Living Essential Oils, former Crohn’s Colitis Foundation board member, founder of the Crohn’s Colitis Collective and a HEMP/CBD start-up. John is able to draw from a reservoir of lived experience and knowledge to better assist his clients and community. John has been featured on many Podcasts and Interviews like the “Tick Boot Camp Podcast” and The Fit Mess Podcast”, as he finds more creative ways to reach his audience.
John specializes in Deep Tissue, Neuro Muscular Therapy(NMT)/ Trigger point Therapy, Sports Massage, Raindrop Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy.
When John isn’t saving the world and helping others achieve their best self, John enjoys spending quality time with his two growing children and his beautiful partner and her younger son. Yoga, pickelball, skiing, hiking, biking, travel, writing, music, intellectual podcasts and books are a few of the many past times he enjoys. His love for people and passion to see others grow comes through in every connection he makes.
Sheri Nellis
Sheri Nellis has been a licensed massage therapist for over 20 years . Her specialties are Deep Tissue Therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish Massage, and Pregnancy massage . Sheri continues her passion for health and serving others as she is currently in school at Maria College to become an RN .
She believes everything in life needs a balance between Eastern versus Western perspective. Many imbalances in health can be addressed through prevention and lifestyle. Therefore Sheri is a huge believer in holistic therapy , homeopathic and modern medicine working in conjunction. She believes healing begins with proper awareness, communication and human connection.
When Sheri isn’t busy studying she is enjoying the outdoors and spending with friends and family.
John feng
John Feng or "The Neck Specialist” as his clients refer to him, graduated from The Center for Natural Wellness school for massage therapy, along with a BS in Mathematics from SUNY Stony Brook. He is the founder of a trademarked technique, Feng's Ways. A style that listens to the body though the sensors of the nervous system to help the body get back to normal. He is well versed in many different healing techniques such as Neuromuscular Technique, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, Sports Massage, and Reiki. He combines all these techniques in every session assuring the patient gets the best treatment that fits his/her needs. He looks at the body as a whole and makes the proper connections to find the root of your issues.
John Specializes in all neck related issues ie, headaches, jaw issues, whiplash, numbness and tingling of arms and hands along with other nerve related issues. His other specialty is with lower back problems. Other issues that he can help with includes rotator-cuff problems, knee issues, arthritis, and multiple sclorosis.
When John isn’t massaging he is usually caring for his young daughter and spending time with his wife plugging into all things holistic.
